This amazing model represents the Panoz GTR - 1 #004 driven by Perry McCarthy (GB), David Brabham (AUS), and Doc Bundy (USA), with John Paul Jr. (USA) in the preliminary session. Entered by David Price Racing (GB), it appeared at the 1997 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 15th at Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France. Powered by a Ford aluminum Roush V8 engine on a Reynard chassis, it had 5998cc of naturally aspirated power.
Although it qualified 30th (26th fastest with a 3:49.699 lap time), it couldn't finish the endurance race due to a fire. Sponsored by TOAD and BLEND 37, it had a striking white livery with red, blue, and green accents.
This collectible is a must - have for motorsport enthusiasts. With 170,000 attendees at the event, it's a memorable piece of Le Mans history.
